Each year, during the first week of October, veterinarians and veterinary clinics across Canada promote animal health and responsible animal ownership as part of Animal Health Week. Animal Health Week is a national public awareness campaign organized by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA). This year's theme is "Protecting the Health of All Species"


To help celebrate Animal Health Week, the team at BorderVET is planning activities to go on throughout the week.

Calendar of events:

Tuesday, October 4

  • Dog wash from 10-11:30 in Melita
  • Proceeds going to Funds for Furry Friends

Wednesday, October 5

  • Dog wash from 1-3 in Carnduff
  • Proceeds going to the Estevan Humane Society

Thursday, October 6

  • Customer appreciation lunch 11:30-1 in Carnduff
  • "How to read a pet food label" presentation at 12:30 in Carnduff

Friday, October 7

  • Customer appreciation lunch 11:30-1 in Melita
  • "How to read a pet food label" presentation at 12:30 in Melita
  • Announcement of photo contest winners

All week

  • Vote for your favorite photos in clinic, on Facebook, or right here on our website by emailing us at carnduff@bordervet.ca
  • Drop by for juice and cookies all week
  • Goodie bags and balloons for kids

For our large animal clients:

  • PRE BOOK your FALL PREGNANCY TESTING Oct 3-7 and receive free mileage and 15% off preg checks at time of appointment (you don't have to get them done during this week - just book for anytime this fall!!)
